Paul & Oly - N15

A familiar combination of more room for children, bikes, and home office space led Paul and Oly to decide it was time for a garden room. Storage was an important part of the design so we opted to divide off the rear section creating a long slim walk in area. The main area has L shaped seating facing a large tv and the work station. The work station has a fold down desk and the facility to hide the pc monitor within, such that work can be forgotten once the children want the room back for tv and gaming :) The room also features led light strips buried in the walls and ceiling which can be changed to any colour or brightness using an app.

Paul & Kate - Crouch Hill

With teenage children Paul and Kate decided that it was time to remove the neglected playhouse and replace with a garden room. We worked together to find a design that fitted in a relatively small space between the border and mature Laurel tree. The easy option would have been to remove the tree but this would have to be a last resort In the end some careful trimming gave us enough space for tree and room to exist side by side. Completed just after the country went into lockdown I was fortunate in being able to continue working without needing to access the house.

Alice & Pete - Muswell Hill

After extending their house, it was time to tackle their steep sloping garden. On this project we worked with Emily Allen who had already designed the garden. The top terrace was divided between a decked area and a garden office which was also a playroom for their teenage children. It was a challenging, muddy site, and most of the build was during winter but this meant the room was ready for the spring and then the garden could be finished for the summer.

Anna & Tim's garden room

Anna and Tim had a clear design and layout for their room in a unusual shaped garden in Crouch End. However once we set out the footprint, we soon realised that it would be too close to the house and block light in their living room. The solution was to move the room to a different position which was evidently the right thing to do as the whole family now love the space!
